Matthew 23:14

The woe on those who “devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer” is the reading of the great majority of Greek manuscripts and of Codex Washingtonianus of the fifth century, and the Vulgate has it. Chrysostom preached on it in his homilies on Matthew about AD 390.

The King James Bible

14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. Read Matthew 23
